Hanging wall paper can be a challenge. If you have ever attempted to do this you know what I mean. Here are a few tips that will help make it a little easier for you.
- If you plan on mitering the corner of a border (making the pattern match) buy an extra roll. This will help with the cutting and waste that will occur.
- Want to know how long the pre-pasted wall paper needs to soak for? Put? two drops of iodine on different dry spots. If it turns brown, it requires 15 to 30 seconds to soak. If it turns purple, it only needs to be soaked for 1 to 15 seconds.
- Cut inside corners, and then overlap the next sheet by butting it in the corner. This makes it look seamless and blend better.
- Be sure to use a level on each and every wall to make sure you have a true vertical line. You would hate to hang everything only to step back and realize the lines are off.
- Keep one of the?manufacturer?s labels just in case you need to buy more. This information will help you find what you need much more quickly than trying to search for your pattern.
- The best tip is to have some help!
