Cricket: India gain big lead in New Zealand Test

New Zealand, trailing by 279 runs, were 41-1 in their second innings at stumps on the third day of the opening Test against India in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Opener Brendon McCullum was unbeaten on 16 and Kane Williamson three not out when play was called off after tea due to rain.

India earlier dismissed New Zealand for 159 in the first innings after posting 438, with off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin finishing with a career-best 6-31 and left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha taking 3-44.
