Nathan Brown's Grafitti Style Murals in Nashville | Nashville's Music ...

Last week I was outside Marathon Music Works at the Wailer?s concert and was chatting it up with someone I didn?t know. One thing lead to another and of course we end up talking about art.

The second I said mural, the next two words were Nathan Brown. Before I knew it I was scrolling through photos on my new stranger/friend?s iPhone of art created by the artist/producer/marketer extraordinaire.

How familiar does this story sound? Aren?t are all so lucky to live in America?s #1 friendliest city? Nashville is such an awesome place because we?re constantly running into interesting people and some how or another we either know each other through a friend or become friends on the spot.

This past year Nathan has facilitated numerous community murals and in the Spring will be embarking on a tour called, Beautify to 10 different cities across the U.S. bringing beauty through art to areas in need of hope. His tour is sponsored by Hipstamatic?and Red Bull?and is targeting cities in?particular?that don?t get much attention from the art world.

Nathan believes that once you start interacting with people that?s when change begins. ?Fellow artist,?Audie Adams?and Nathan transformed the lives of teenagers by introducing them to art?at Pearl-Cohn High School in Nashville. After the students finished the 12 murals in 5 days project Nathan gave them paints and brushes to keep them off the streets and away from drugs. Over the past decade, Brown has marketed and promoted over 1500 concerts, 50 festivals and 300 brand marketing campaigns/ product launches for clients such as: Live Nation, Clear Channel, AEG Live, House of Blues, Coachella Festival, Rival Entertainment, Clif Bar, Johnson &Johnson, Turner/ Time Warner, Lions Gate Films, Rockstar Games, MTV, ESPN, Adidas, SONY, Red Bull, Master Card and dozens of others. He has worked with hundreds of nationally touring acts and has promoted shows across the country, working closely with dozens of world-class venues.
