C. Lister remains dominant at Nottingham

The November 12 night at Nottingham racecourse was a golden time for the legendary trainer, C. Lister, who brought home three epic triumphs at the end of the card.

Lister was lucky enough as each of his three favourite pupils thrived convincingly, earning him great applause and honour. In fact, it was a matter of proud for the old trainer who has been serving the sport since many years.

First of all, Castlelyons Cofi won the opening Heat of the Betfred Maiden 480m Trophy for Lister. The two-year-old novice runner performed confidently and beat Tromora Rebel by the big margin of 4 ? lengths.

After breaking from Trap 5 the brilliant young dog took 28.95 seconds to cover the distance of 480 metres. He was the 4-5 favourite for the ?150 contest.

Aghaburren Paco stood third on the podium while Kilhoran Messi grabbed the 4th position. Forest Joker and Smart Fred finished 5th and 6th respectively.

Lister?s second champion was Glanmire Phanter who elegantly won the Heat 2 race of the Betfred Sprint Trophy.

The young black dog outplayed K. Turner?s black dog, Headford Jack, by the margin of 2 ? lengths. While being the 10-11 favourite, Glanmire Phanter ran very well and remained in command from beginning to the end of the contest.

Masada Scolari sealed third spot on the podium. Swabys Tony finished 4th while Skyline Fleck stood 5th. Amazing Vintage was the tail ender.

Farloe Tango was Lister?s pupil who marvellously finished first in the high-stakes race of Betfred Standard Trophy.

The 4-5 favourite black dog beat G. Ballentine?s Rockview Sail by the big margin of 5 ? lengths to cross the boundary strap in 29.70 seconds.

Galley Droopy accomplished third position while Lanrigg Paddy came 4th. The 5th and 6th positions went to Head Iton Hayesy and Trewmount Snap respectively.

Thus, all the three races were full of excitement for the spectators. The bookmakers were also pleased with the results as all of their three favourite candidates won.

Hopefully, Lister will be able to thrive in the play-offs and the finals of these tournaments. The star trainer is destined to thrive in this season.
