NFL Rumors: Brian Urlacher Reiterates Lack Of Care For Chicago Bears Fans

Brian Urlacher has ripped Chicago Bears? fans in the past. He has openly discussed his feelings toward the fans and the media, and that only increases after a tough loss. Dropping a home game late in the season against the Green Bay Packers in a key NFC North divisional battle certainly constitutes a tough loss.

Any guess as to which two sorts of people Urlacher was ripping after the loss?

Urlacher is sick of the fans. Sick of the booing. Sick of the media. Sick of people questioning if the team should fire head coach Lovie Smith. Sick of it all.

And he is telling anyone who will listen.

?Our crowd was pretty good today for the most part,? Urlacher said Sunday during his weekly segment on Fox Chicago. ?They were loud for a minute there. The boos were really loud, which is always nice. The only team in our division to get booed at home is us. It?s unbelievable to me.?

This comes on the heels of a 21-13 loss that now has the Bears scrambling just to hold on to an NFC wild card berth, when it looked like weeks ago they had a strong shot at securing home field advantage and a first round bye in the playoffs.

?It?s not going to change,? he said. ?If we talk about it, then the media says, ?You?re blaming the fans for losing. You?re doing this. You?re blaming the refs for losing.? We lost that football game. Every football game we play in, we lose, it?s nobody?s fault but ours, but we?re allowed to say what we want.?

And saying what he wants has never been an issue for Urlacher.

?Two of the people I don?t care about, fans or the media,? Urlacher said. ?They can say what they want to about our head coach, about our players. It does bother me because those people don?t know what they?re talking about, obviously.?I know there are a bunch of experts in the media, and there are a bunch of smart guys out there who know exactly what they?re talking about all the time. But they don?t know what they?re talking about.?

Fans will not have a problem with Urlacher calling out the media. But as loyal as many Bears? fans are, even they may tire of hearing Urlacher rip them following a home loss where the fans get on the team for bad plays, poor calls or costly turnovers.

He has a point. That is not going to change.

Other players besides Brandon Marshall need to step up and contribute, especially on offense. Certain plays should only be called at certain times. Stop talking and win games.

That, my friend, will turn the boos back into cheers, and only that will change.
